    There are two different types of wind turbine system:

    1. Off-grid system (Independent working)

    2. On-grid system (Connected to the utility power)

     

    Off-grid wind power generator usually in small scale, and it can solve power supply problems in remote areas through energy storage devices such as batteries or other energy generation technologies, like wind/hydro power complementary system, wind/solar hybrid system, wind/diesel combined system.

     

    On-grid wind power system is a large-scale wind farm with a capacity of megawatts to hundreds megawatts, consisting of dozens or even hundreds of wind turbines.

     

    The wind farms that are connected to the grid can be compensated and supported by the large power grid, and the full development of available wind resources is the main development direction of wind power generation all over the world. In the increasingly open electricity market environment, the cost of wind power will also continue to decrease.
