Pelton turbine is mainly used in high head and low flow conditions.
Double nozzle hydroelectric generator is composed of micro pelton turbine and generator mounted in one shaft. It is mainly composed of inlet guide pipe, rotating impeller, main shaft, base, adjusting valve, bearing, cover, seal et al. As high pressure fluid is guided into inlet pipe, the high pressure energy is transferred into high velocity dynamic energy in guide nozzle region. The high speed fluid leaving the nozzle would strike the turbine impeller and force the rotor to rotate.
Double nozzle pelton turbine is vertically mounted. Itsadvantagesare as follows:
1. Pipe inlet which is easy to install;
2. Turbine and generator is mounted in one shaft, which is compact and easy to transport and install;
3. The radial force is well balanced through double nozzle design. 3bearsings are set within turbine generator, therefore the life span is bearing is quite long.
4.Rated power could be easily generated due to the high turbine efficiency.
5.Comared to francis turbine, the efficiency is high and alignment of couplings is not needed. Do not have to worry about the misalignment of couplings any more !
